IGP wades into Apostle Suleman’s amorous brouhaha with church pastor’s wife

For allegedly sleeping with his pastor’s wife and threatening his life at the same time, Apostle Johnson Suleman, General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, has incurred the wrath of the police high command.

The victim, Pastor Mike Davids, had written a strongly worded petition to the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, through his lawyer, V.C Ezenagu & Associates, complaining bitterly, how Apostle Suleman has been sleeping with his wife, Pastor Faith Edeko, in addition to threatening his life and preventing him from seeing his three children, wondering why the monkey should be eating the forbidden banana.

Following this, IGP Mohammed Adamu, in a memo, CB:7000/IGP.SEC/ABJ/Vol.515/561 addressed to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Intelligence Bureau, Garki dated January 5, 2021, had ordered a thorough probe of the petition by Davids. The memo was signed by the Principal Staff Officer II to the Inspector-General of Police, ACP Iliya Doma.

The probe order titled ‘Re: Criminal Petition Against Apostle Johnson Suleman for Enticement of a Married Woman; Adultery; Unlawful Criminal Restraint to Access Children and Threat to Life,’ urged the DIG-FIB to look thoroughly into the petition dated December 30, 2020 with a view to unraveling the circumstance behind how the monkey ate the forbidden banana.

Explaining further, Davids had alleged he met Apostle Suleman in 2003 while he was in school after which they became friends, consequent upon which Apostle Suleman took interest in him and ordained him a pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries on June 9, 2006. But now, he is accusing Suleman of a ploy to destroy his marriage through gross infidelity.

Lamenting in a video post on Instagram at the weekend, he wept profusedly, stating how he began a relationship with his wife in secondary school and they courted for about 11 years before marriage, and that Apostle Suleman is now trying to wreck the marriage.

But his wife, Pastor Faith Edeko, who heads the Abuja branch of Omega Fire Ministries in Utako, denied the allegations, saying they were all figments of his own imagination.

Pastor Faith is not alone in the denial. The Omega Fire Ministry Headquarters, through its Resident Pastor, Joseph Iyare, also dismissed the story as a tale by the moonlight.
