Governor Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar has assured foreign investors willing to invest in Jigawa State free business incentives among other supports.
Speaking while receiving an eight man Chinese business delegation headed by Kim Bueong Sam at Government House, Dutse, the governor said that his government will support and encourage any meaningful foreign partners on rice and other agro-allied production.
Other incentives include free land, adequate security and power as well as improved seeds.
The South Korea-based rice production expert has signified intention to partner with Dangode Group of Companies to float a rice production company In Jigawa with a capacity of 35,000 metric tonnes daily if fully implemented.
According to Governor Badaru, Jigawa being an agrarian state with land available for farming in rice and other cash crops, will always support and encourage agricultural production to curtail over dependence on imports.
The proposed Chinese rice mill company was expected to commence production in the first quarter of next year.
