How Governor Zulum Surprised Mrs. Obiageri Mazi

February 10, 2020
By: Hon Yusuf Adamu
Borno state governor, Professor Babagana Umar Zulum has a unique way of affecting the lives of the people he came across in the line of his duty as number one citizen of the state. It has been said of his kindness particularly to poor people on the street in whatever way the meeting was destined.
For the record, issues of school inspection died a long time ago in Borno. The Commissioners and School inspectors has since forgotten what it used to be like to go round schools for inspection in the state. However, governor Zulum is reawakening that spirit to give credence to education in the state.
In his usual way of doing things, his outing today at 6:30 am to visit schools across the state in other to find out how things are being done, once again added credibility to governance in his time.
The story of his meeting earlier today with Mrs. Obiageri Nazi, a school teacher, who captured his attention as a result of her commitment was so striking that, left streams of blood running through the spine of all those who watch the short video of that meeting.
For Mrs Mazi, it was an answered prayer to have a financial break through this fateful morning. But for the governor it was a move to reward those who deserved rewards.
Unlike what would have transpire in some cases. Mrs. Mazi is from Abia state, who is serving in one of the schools in Borno state and has served for 31 years. Ordinarily, she would have served the 35 years and retired unnoticed, but the fact remains that she is in the program of the Almighty, who decided to pay her a visit using the governor for this special meeting.
” We will continue to support you even after your retirement. ” Governor Zulum said as he handed her the naira notes.
” And God will bless you our governor. ” Mrs. Obiageri Mazi said as she went down on both knees.
The drama of joy and happiness that greeted the morning of her meeting with the Borno state governor, Professor Babagana Zulum confirms the Biblical statement that joy indeed comes in the morning.
