
A titled chief in Daura, hometown of President Muhammadu Buhari who was kidnapped two months ago in his home after the evening prayer was rescued on Tuesday by the Inspector General of Police (IGP)Intelligence Response Team.

A Police statement on the rescue operation said :
Today 2/7/19 The IGP Intelligence Response team Successfully Rescued Alhaji MUSA UMAR Daura Magajin Garin Daura Katsina State who was Kidnapped on 1/5/19 in his home town Daura Katsina State.
In line with the Directives Of IGP Adamu Mohd, IRT Operatives Led By DCP Abba Kyari Conducted 6 weeks unrelenting follow up together with OC SIB Kaduna state and OC SIB Niger State. High level Intelligence Led Operations was conducted in Kaduna, Bauchi, Niger, Katsina, Katsina and Kogi States which resulted to the Arrest Of 11 of the Terrorist/kidnappers including the overall Gangleader and Rescue of the Victim In Panshakara Area Of Kano City on 2/9/19 by 0700hrs.
One of the Terrorist/kidnappers was killed during the Rescue Operation Assisted by CP Kano State, DC Operations Kano State, ACP Operation Kano state, OC SARS kano State, PMF and Other Police Units Who Assisted IRT In Subduing and Over powering the kidnappers which enabled the Successful Rescue Of the Victim.
Several AK47 Rifles and Ammunitions Recovered and Several Of the Kidnappers arrested alive. Kudos to Nigerian Police Force, Kudos to IGP Adamu Mohd and Kudos to IRT.
