The deceased wife, Fatima, while confirming the news said the gunmen killed the retired Air vice-marshal and his 27-year-old grandson, Mohammed Musa, in their living room.

“They only came into the parlour and killed them both without taking any of our belongings. In fact, they left our phones with us,” she said.

Jalige said that when the information was received, the Commissioner of Police, Mudassiru Abdullah, directed the Divisional Police Officer and the Area Commander to the scene.

“The corpse has been evacuated to the hospital and the gateman has also been rushed to the hospital for treatment,” he said, while revealing that details of the incident would be made available soon.
