Gov. Shettima in Anambra State as Nnamdi Azikiwe University honours Amb. Kingibe

Governor Kashim Shettima was on Friday, 10th, May, in Awka, Anambra State, where he attended the 13th Convocation Ceremony of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University.
Received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, Governor Shettima was accompanied by the Governor-Elect, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, the Borno State All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, and the Member Representing Biu/Bayo/ Shani/Kwaya Kusar Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Mukhtar Betara.
The Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) honoured veteran politician Ambassador Baba Gana Kingibe with an honorary doctorate degree of Politics and Strategy, so also the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe (Doctor of Science), and Chief Emeka Offor (Doctorate of Entrepreneurship) in recognition of their outstanding contributions towards human capital and national development.
790 students were conferred with masters degrees, and 295 with doctorate degrees.
Amongst other activities, the university also at the ceremony installed seven academics, including three former vice chancellors of the university, with the emeritus-professor title; Prof. Obiona Nwogu, Prof. Rose Ebenebe, Prof. I.C.A. Oyeka, Prof. Ilochi Okafor (SAN), Prof. V.C. Egboka, Prof. Ikenne Oyido and Prof. Sam Nnaomenyi.
