Gov Sanwo-Olu receives NBA leaders, restates commitment to upholding rule of law

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Friday assured that his administration would continue to work with critical stakeholders to ensure quick dispensation of justice and strengthen the rule of law.

He gave the assurance when the National President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Paul Usoro, led a delegation of lawyers to pay him a courtesy call ahead of the association’s Annual General Conference next month.

Governor Sanwo-Olu who received the NBA delegation at his Alausa office in Ikeja, urged the association and its members “to work with government at all levels to ensure quick dispensation of justice and strengthen the rule of law in our country.

He assured his visitors that Lagos State would continue to take a lead in the area of prompt administration of justice, adding that a good judicial system would always enjoy the support of the citizenry.

According to him, “Lagos will continue to lead the way, because a vibrant justice system enjoys the confidence of the citizens.”

The NBA delegation visited Sanwo-Olu ahead of the 59th edition of the association’s Annual General Conference scheduled to hold in Lagos from August 23 to 29, 2019 with the theme: “Facing The Future
