Ganduje constitutes panel on kidnap of nine Kano kids to Anambra

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has instituted a panel to probe the kidnap of nine children from the State.

The children were later found in Onitsha, Anambra State where they were sold into child-slavery and given new names.

The Commission of Inquiry headed by retired Justice Wada Umar Rano has been mandated to provide complete data of other missing children in Kano State.

By it’s terms of reference, “The Commission is to conduct an inquiry into cases of missing persons in Kano State from 2010 to date and to procure all such evidences, written or oral, and to examine all such persons, as witnesses, as the commission may deem it necessary or desirable to procure or examine.”

It is empowered “To summon any person in Nigeria to attend any meeting of the commissioners, to give evidence or produce any document or other things in his possession and to require the evidence (whether written or oral) of any witness to be made on oath or declaration, such oath or declaration.”
