The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Baba, has ordered the deployment of seven Commissioners of Police (CPs) to various police commands and formations across the country.
The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Abuja.

He said the deployment came on the heels of the recent completion of the Senior Executive Course 44 at the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) by some senior officers.

Adejobi said the newly deployed CPs are: Sadiq Abubakar, FCT Command; Frank Mba, Border Patrol, Force Headquarters and Arungwa Udo, Department of Finance and Account (DFA), Force Intelligence Bureau, Force Headquarters.
He said others were Bardaru Lawal, General Investigations, Force Criminal Investigations Department Annex, Kaduna and Suleiman Yusuf, Admin, Research and Planning, Force Headquarters.
Adejobi said Ebong Ebong, DFA, Force Headquarters and Babaji Sunday, Commandant, Police College Maiduguri were also deployed.
Sadiq Abubakar, the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Capital Territory, enlisted into the Police in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
He was the Commissioner of Police, Peacekeeping Operations and Coordinator, Police Special Forces before his nomination for the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute between February and December, 2022.
According to Adejobi: “CP Frank Mba, the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Border Patrol Force, Force Headquarters, Abuja, hails from Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
“A Masters’ Degree holder in Law, he enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 1992. He was the Force Public Relations Officer before his nomination for the Senior Executive Course at the National Institute between February and December, 2022.”
He said the IGP had charged the newly posted officers to hit the ground running in the areas of crime-fighting, public cooperation and safety.
He also called for support and cooperation from members of the public to the new police helmsmen to enable them perform optimally on their mandate./NAN/SHARE THIS
