According to him the 350,000 bags of fertilizers were distributed to 45,000 farmers whose houses and farmlands were washed away by the flood menace in their respective areas.
Others include the disbursement of 100 tonnes of assorted grains out of the 150 trucks of food stuffs donated by the Federal Government to over 370,000 people in 18 out of 27 LGAs in the state as part of palliatives to cushion the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
He stated that this gesture was in addition to the earlier donated relief items given to various communities which have fallen victims of natural disaster such as windstorm, fire outbreaks, among other unforeseen circumstances.
He cautioned people to have fear of God while presenting their plights for government assistance. “Let our people have fear of God in their presentation, as the agency will only treat genuine cases with facts and objectives, not purported claims full of blatant lies and frivolous misrepresentations,” he warned.
