Civil Servants in Ekiti State have become apprehensive over non implementation of financial benefits on their three years promotion for different workers for the years 2015,2016 and 2017.
The workers under the aegis of Joint Public Service Negotiating Council (JNC) in a press release signed by the Chairman Comrade Fatomiluyi Kehinde and the secretary, Comrade Gbenga Olowoyo expressed frustration of workers over the foot dragging of the implementation of the financial benefits of their promotions.
“The JNC expressed sadness over development which was caused by the immediate past Administration that promoted workers without financial benefits :although, the action of the Past Administration could be described as Administration without conscience as a result of the non implementation of the promotion to Workers.”
The State leadership of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council however stated that Government is continuum.
The JNC leadership therefore urged the present Administration of Dr John Kayode Fayemi to use his large heartedness to address the issue among other issues affecting the well being of Public Servants in Ekiti State and commerce its lmplementation.
“As a matter of fact, the entire Public Servants are conscious of the readiness the present Administration under Dr John Kayode Fayemi to walk the talk in areas of Mr Governor’s commitment to clear all the outstanding salaries within one year of his term in the office which he has repeatedly said at different fora.
“The JNC promised on behalf of all workers in the Public Service of Ekiti State to remain committed of all cardinal programmes of the present Administration in the State, to achieve this, JNC has proposed quarterly interface between Government and Labour Union Leaders in the Public Service :a platform that will fast track resolutions of some outstanding burning issues affecting workers generally.
“The workers should exercise patience to allow the leadership of JNC work out robust negotiation in line with best Labour Practices”

Kudos to the JNC
