Folio Communication Limited, publishers of Nigeria’s oldest media brand, Daily Times, has appointed seasoned media practitioner, Dr. Ise-Oluwa Ige and media sales & marketing specialist, Ms. Judith Akatugba, as Managing Editor and Chief Commercial Officer, respectively.

The two professionals will function across the subsidiaries of Folio Communications which includes Daily Times Nigeria, First October Publication, Nigeria Our Heritage Projects and soon to be unveiled Nigeria Heritage Channel, among others.
Dr. Ige, who assumed duties in May, will be responsible for planning and managing the editorial operations of the newspaper, both hardcopy and online, as well as set professional standards based on corporate goals and expectations.
The new Managing Editor is a communication scholar and practicing journalist with 29 years of practical experience in news reporting, newspaper editing, production, management and establishment.
He has worked with top Nigerian newspapers including Vanguard, Punch, Concord, AM News, National Mirror and The Authority Newspaper, among others, rising through the ranks from Proof-reader to Editor.
He is a 2016 PhD holder from the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan.
He has undertaken several training programmes in leadership and journalism from reputable institutions including the Ford Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme.
He had, in the course of his career, covered many important assignments across Nigeria and West Africa.
As a scholar, he has also done a number of studies in media performance and public perception of the judiciary in Nigeria.
On the other hand, Ms. Judith Akatugba, the new Chief Commercial Officer for Folio Communication Limited, is a professional with cognate experience in media, sales, marketing communications, advertising, and content production.
