Covid- 19: Kenny Martins group declares Monday, 6th April National Day of Prayers

 Legacy Initiative International (LII), a group which has Dr Kenny Martins as Grand Patron has declared Monday, 6th April as National Day of Prayer against Covid-19 pandemic.

In a press statement released in Lagos, Dr Martins said: “ We have been in consultation with our religious leaders in the country, including His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar II, Sultan of Sokoto, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs and Leader of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) as well as Rev. (Dr) Supo Ayokunle , the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria  (CAN). We have also consulted with Traditional Authorities, including His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Oooni of Ife and his colleagues from other parts of the country on the need to have a National Day of Prayers and each of the Leaders has given His support of the Prayers.

“ In the light of the foregoing, we deem it right to help in the mobilization of all Nigerians, home and in Diaspora, irrespective of their Religious Beliefs and practice, to observe Monday, 6th April 2020 as a National Day of Prayers for people to pray and give Glory to God for His Mercy and continuous protection for the World, our Nation, Leaders, Families, Neighbours and means of livelihood in this very difficult and perilous times, and also to continue to maintain the recommended stay at home order and social distancing.”
