Yobe state Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni has condoled President Muhammadu Buhari and the Nigerian people over the demise of Alhaji Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to the President.
This was contained in a press statement issued by his Director General Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, which was made available to our Correspondent in Maiduguri on Saturday.
Mamman said “His Excellency Governor Mai Mala Buni, the government and people of Yobe state, commiserates with His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, the family, government and people of Nigeria over the death of Alhaji Abba Kyari, the Chief of staff to the President who passed on yesterday.
“The Governor described the death of Abba Kyari as a huge loss not just to his family and the presidency but, to the government and the nation.
“Governor Buni said the late chief of staff was an astute administrator and a great patriot who dedicated his life to the service of the nation.
“He will be remembered for his commitment to good governance, transparency, due process and patriotism.
“The Governor prayed almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest. He also prayed to Allah to give his family, the president, government and the people of Nigeria the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.” The statement said.
