COVID – 19: Come back home and assist your community- Bosuwa urges elected officials

Irked by constraint of lock down on the down trodden masses, a Dutse based activists, Comrade Bosuwa has call on the elected political office holders across jigawa state to show mercy by way of offering a helping hands in both cash and kinds to communities within their constituency’s.
Speaking to our correspondent in Dutse Bosuwa said I am appealing to our thirty number state representatives, eleven of our elected members in the House of Representatives and three of my elected senators to borrow a leaf from their colleagues in rendering assistance to our fellow electorates of their constituencies to cushion the effects of the lock down hardships.
” The suffering is too enormous as no money in the hands of people, no foodstuffs for families of the less privileged due to lock down, and both state and federal government’s are not willing to offer help, hence our resolve to called on our elected political office holders to render assistance, he avered”
According to Comrade Bosuwa it is most disheartening for government taking this outright decision without adequate preparations on people under the pretext of Covid-19 leaving people under untold hardship, arguing if we didn’t die in the cause of coronavirus, we may die of absolute hunger, and depressions.
He express dismay of violation of the lock down on the people should the persistent hard ship continue unattended to, citing an example with the community of Kazaure local government area whom earlier vowed to deferred government order on lock down stressing we will brake up protocol of scouting round to search for food and water, since we won’t allow ourselves to die out of hunger and humiliation unnecessary.
Most of the community of the town when interviewed lambasted state government unnoticed mission in announcing lock down in the area due to discovery of one positive case of coronavirus on one residents of the council leaving them to suffer from total negligence of water, and food stuffs, even though they were assisted with stipend sacks of outdated grains in low quantities, situation which was rejected on poor condition, and con terminated due to over stayed of the grains in federal government’s silos.
Responding the jigawa task force chairman of Covid-19 and also the state Commissioner of Health, Dr. Abba Zakari Umar said the lock down was impose on medical ground just to protect the spread of the viros of coronavirus, and not to witch hunt nor dehumanised any individuals nor community’s only to ensure protection of lives of our citizen’s, assuring with concerted efforts in place we will overcome it and it will be a matter of the past.
