Manchester United’s move to acquire the services of former Super Eagle’s striker,Odion Ighalo on a permanent basis may be scuppered by his Chinese team who have offered the Ighalo a £400,000-a-week, two-year contract extension in order to turn down the advances of the Red Devils.
Sky Sports reports that Odion Ighalo has been offered an incredible £400,000-a-week, two-year contract extension by Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua.
Ighalo’s fine form for United has led to suggestions that the Red Devils could move to sign him permanently – but that offer from China would dwarf anything United would be prepared to pay.
Ighalo took a pay cut to join United on loan, but that offer will represent a tough choice if the Red Devils come up with a permanent offer as they have promised.
