A politician from the Northern Senatorial Zone of Kwara State has expressed bright chances of President Muhammadu Buhari in Saturday’s‎ poll.

Alhaji Mohammed Kudu who is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ‎in the Kwara North said this in an interview with  in Ilorin on Thursday.

According to him, Buhari for instance made available the sum of N250billion for Agricultural Scheme for low level across Nigeria which ‎some states had accessed that gave rise to local production of rice in such states.

He lamented that in the past, officials of State and Local Governments diverted such facilities to other things which all along affected food production in the country.

Their attitudes he said was responsible for the unfortunate culture of food importation into the country over the years.

Also, he said the current government had put many things in place that will help to empower the citizens particularly, the low class ones

His words: “Buhari has put many things in place that will empower the populace. These are the N-Power and the current TraderMoni which some states in the opposition do not allow their citizens to enjoy.

“President Buhari by his policies that are making the greedy leaders of Nigeria uncomfortable had to divert the commonwealth of the people to their use alone, and that of their associates‎

“He had diversified the over-dependence on oil to agriculture which these overlords are not pleased with.”

Alhaji Kudu who is the Director General of the APC campaigns in the Kwara northern zone said it would do the masses of Nigeria a lot of good if he is given a second term in office to accomplish the good programmes he started.

He expressed absolute confidence in the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji AbdulRahaman Abdulrazaq, to deliver the good that would relieve the state of the years of long sufferings.
