
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike is currently in a closed-door meeting with some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party.
The agenda of the meeting is yet unclear, but there are indications it is in connection to the festering post presidential primary crisis which has seen the party divided into two major camps.
Those at the meeting include Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Okezie Ikpeazu, Abia, Samuel Ortom, Benue and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Enugu.
Others are former governors of Cross River State, Donald Duke, Gabriel Suswam, Benue, Olusegun Mimiko, Ondo, Seriake Dickson, Bayelsa, Ibrahim Idris, Kogi and Jonah Jang, Plateau.
Others are Prof. Jerry Gana, Kano PDP Governorship Candidate Mohammed Abacha, among other chieftains.
The meeting commenced at about 4:30pm at the Rivers Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
