
A veteran Muslim journalist, columnist and former Chairman of the Editorial Board of The Vanguard, Alhaji Kola Muslim Animashaun is dead.
He will be buried at the Markaz Mosque cemetery, Agege, by 2pm today.
Alhaji Animashaun died in the early mornings of Thursday, May 30, 2019, at age 80.
Chairman of the Lagos State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists ( NUJ) Dr Qasim Akinreti who announced the transition wrote that: Dear colleagues. With deep heart, I announced the death of our our fathers in The Journalism profession, a first class Journalist, Columnist,trainer and mentor Alhaji Muslim Kola Animasaun.
He died early morning today according to the The Managing Editor Vanguard Newspapers,UncleGbenga Adefaye.
I visited him at home yesterday night in company of two journalists. I held his hand and prayed for him.
I am glad he lived a fulfilled life.
My condolences to the entire Vanguard chapel family and NUJ Lagos council at large. We lost a rear gem in the industry.
