A United Kingdom court on Thursday granted Nigeria leave to appeal against the award and enforcement of the judgment that asked Process and Industrial Developments Limited to seize $9.6bn in Nigerian assets.
Application for stay of execution is currently being considered.
Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami; Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Governor of Central Bank, Mr Godwin Emefiele; Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu and Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr Ibrahim Magu are part of Nigeria’s high powered team in the UK for the court session.
