A Customs officer caused a major stir at the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Headquarters, Abuja on Monday as he ‘promoted’ himself from Assistant Superintendent (AS) to the rank of Deputy Comptroller –General (DCG).
He did not stop at that. The man at the centre of the drama, Nura Dahiru, stormed the office of the Comptroller General (CG) of Customs, Colonel Hameed Ali (rtd), claiming he was directed by President Muhammadu Buhari to take over from him.

Before he was arrested and taken into custody, many officers, including those senior to him had accorded him the normal military/para-military salute, thinking he was truly a Deputy Comptroller –General (DCG).
