The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) on Wednesday issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Walter Onnoghen, the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
It consequently issued a directive for the Department of State Security ( DSS) to arrest him.
The arrest warrant was issued on a motion filed by the prosecution counsel, after Onnoghen failed to show up in court on Wednesday.
Onnoghen is standing trial before the CCT over allegations of fraudulent declaration of assets.
The CCT has also ruled that Onnoghen be arraigned for trial on Friday.
