The Deputy governor of Borno State, Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur has given clarification that his refusal to swear in one, Ibrahim Kwajaffa as Special Adviser to the Borno state Governor, Professor Umara Zulum was borne out of the fact that the said Kwajaffa and his supporters from Hawul Local Government Area violated exhibition of loyalty before the swearing ceremony.
In a press statement released by the Senior Special  Adviser to the Deputy Governor, Mallam Shayibu Baba which was made available to our Correspondent in Maiduguri also advised Media practitioners to be objective and not to be carried away by falsehood information from their sources.
Recalled that, the Deputy governor upon the powers conferred on him and the directive given to him by the governor to preside over the swearing -in ceremony last week is sacrosanct.
“The report written by Ndahi in an online/social media platforms allegedly pointing accusing fingers on His Excellency the Deputy governor of Borno state, Hon Umar Usman Kadafur for outright denial and prevention of Mohammed Ibrahim kwajaffa to take the oath office as special adviser to the governor citing unconstitutional reasons ,is far away from the truth of the matter.
“The said reporter did not investigate or make clarification on why Ibrahim Kwajaffa was not sworn in but rather decided to go ahead and published the story.
“The fact that Mr kwajaffa is loyal to the Former Deputy governor, Usman Durkwa,  that’s why he was disqualified as claimed is completely false and erroneous assumption capable of creating disharmony within the ruling APC family.
“Therefore as a journalist, it is a professional misconduct to published such a bias report on the personality of the deputy governor which he has every opportunity to confirm from the deputy governor before going on air.
“The deputy governor represented the governor during the swearing in ceremony and whatever happened that led to the disqualification of Mr kwajaffa is a collective decision on the side of government and APC party stakeholders.
Our Correspondent report that, Hon. Ali Sakwa has since been appointed and sworn in to replace Kwajaffa and fill Hawul LGA quarter.
