Communities in Kubo village of Shani Local Government Area of Borno state on Thursday chased away the Principal of Government Day Secondary School in Kubo, Mr. Umar Yusuf after series of alleged victimization of staff.
Investigation available to our correspondent revealed that the principal who is said to be an ‘errand boy’ to  a top government official in the state (names witheld)  had reported a teacher, Mr. Ibrahim Alura Dubuku to the Police in Shani Division, who locked the teacher on the allegation that the teacher was disrespectful to his Principal.
The Principal was also said to have refused to pay some teachers their four months salaries alleging that they were not leaving up to expectation to their duties.
After all these , the communities felt the Principal had gone to far and sent him packing.
Further investigation revealed that, the Principal has been visiting the Teaching Service Board (TSB) in Maiduguri throughout the week, in an attempt to ensure that the affected staff are dismissed from service.
When the Commissioner of Education, Hon. Musa Inuwa Kubo was contacted on phone, he claimed that he has no idea on the incident.
