Boko Haram Terrorists attack Chibok, kill two, loot foodstuffs

Boko Haram terrorists on Tuesday struck in Chibok town in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State.

In the latest onslaught, they killed two persons and injured scores.

Chibok was first attacked in April 2014, when the insurgents abducted 300 students of the Government Girls Secondary School.

The Tuesday attack reportedly took place around 7 pm. They terrorists were said to have shot sporadically and burnt down homes and looted food items.

The Borno Police Command confirmed the attack, saying that it attracted a swift response from a joint team of the military, the police and the local vigilante.

“The attack was repelled by the joint effort of the military and the police,” the police spokesman, Nahum Kenneth, said.

“Unfortunately, two persons were killed – one of the deceased, named Mr. Badi, aged 75, and one Ngule, aged 45, died during the attack. However, the situation has since returned to normal,” he said.
