Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky, has pleaded guilty to the charges of Naira abuse upon arraignment before Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The controversial cross-dresser was nabbed on Thursday and the EFCC filed a six count charge of abuse of Naira and money laundering against him.
But before the charge was read to the Bobrisky today, the EFCC’s prosecution counsel, Suleiman Suleiman, prayed the court to strike out counts five and six (Money laundering charges). He was consequently arraigned on counts one to four.
Justice Awogboro thereafter struck out counts five and six.
Bobrisky was then arraigned on counts one to four to which he pleaded guilty.
When he was asked if he understood the charge that was read to him, he said,” yes, I am guilty”.
