Former Vice President, and presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has promised Jigawa populace of completion of abandoned federal projects initiated by last PDP government.
Speaking while canvassing for votes at a mammoth rally in Dutse on Monday, he listed the projects as Hadejia – Jemaare river valley erosion, rehabilitation of the Gaya-Jahun-Hadejia federal road, and Kwanar Dumawa-Kano- Babura federal roads.
According to Atiku this was imperative, since the PDP believes in infrastructural development.
Abubakar expressed delight over the warm reception accorded him by members of his party and the people of the state during his campaign trip to Jigawa.
“Basically, with what I saw practically, I have the believe that our party, the PDP will soon captured the country,” he said.
He assured PDP faithfuls of a balanced and transparent government that will ensure equity and just among govern and the governed.
” I Atiku Abubakar, I promise to offer myself to Nigerians in floating a purposeful leadership that will cater for all and sundry, devoid of tribal nor sectionalism only for the overall developments of our great country, if elected next president of this country”.
Also speaking, the PDP National Chairman, Chief Uche Secondus warned the Independent National Independent Commission ( INEC) and it’s
officials to eschew rigging.
” I am sounding a fierce warning to officials of the country’s Electoral body to distant itself from any move to rigging and manipulations in the conduct of the 2019 forth-coming general elections”, said Secondus.
