Wakawa, an incumbent Member Borno State House of Assembly also advised his opponents to stop playing politics with bitterness using hate speech, as according to him, most of the electorate in Hawul are highly educated and enlightened that would not be taken for granted by deceiving them with hate speech or fake promises.

He stated this when addressing mamoth crowd of APC supporters during his campaign rally to Pama, Mbulatawi/Gwanzang, Azare, Kwaybura, Shinduffu, Kwajjafa, Marama/Kidang, Shaffa, Sabon Kasuwa, Yimirshika and other communities across the 12 wards in Hawul Local Government Area of the state.

The Lawmaker who is seeking position for the third time, commended the people of his constituents for given him the mandate to serve and represent them at the state assembly in the last eight years, promising that when re-elected, he will consolidate on his achievements which cut across areas of poverty alleviation, job creation, favourable agricultural policies and programmes, construction and reconstruction of primary school structures, provision of potable drinking water, skills acquisition initiatives among others.

Reeling out some of his modest achievements, the Lawmaker said, under his purposeful representation, with the cordial relationship that exists between him and the State Government, he was instrumental to the ongoing reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Biu- Yimirshika- Shaffa- Garkida federal road, which has been in deplorable condition, but neglected since 1979.

Wakawa also said that, he was instrumental to the complete overhaul of the Azare General Hospital, situated in the headquarters of Hawul Council Area. The project he said was being handled by the state government and the work have now reached 97% completion.

He further said, the Complete Construction of Mega Boarding Secondary and Primary School, Azare town, in addition to complete renovation and reconstruction of classroom blocks at Government Secondary Schools in Shaffa, Marama, Kwajjafa and General Hospital Marama were all executed by his pressure on government.

Another achievement he noted, is the recent drilling of boreholes across wards and communities in Hawul, and so numerous dividends of democracy to mention but few.

He promised that if given another mandate, he would consolidate on the gains so far recorded through purposeful representation, inclusiveness and be fair to all manner of people in the Council area.

On campaign using hate speech by some of his opponents, the Lawmaker challenge that in ideal democracy, an opponent(s), is expected to present his/her manifestoes or blueprints to the electorate, but not to engage in hate speech or frivolous allegations, which were not what voters need this material time where they (electorate) are much more concern about who will represent them properly and address their plights for better in the society.

While Congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari and all other Candidates who came out victorious at the just concluded Saturday 23rd February, 2019 general elections, the Lawmaker urged for massive turn out of illegible voters cast their votes to the APC gubernatorial candidate, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum and all APC House of Assembly Candidates across the 27 Local Government Areas, Hawul inclusive in Borno state.
