“With deep sorrow in our hearts, we announce the passing of one of our players, Rasaq Adetayo, popularly called ‘Aro.’

“He passed away in the early hour of this morning (November 24, 2020). Rasaq, previously played for Young Stars, White Stars and Crown FC Feeder Club before joining Ogbomoso United FC.

Adetayo’s death was coming barely two months after a retired international, Ajibade Babalade, had also died in Ibadan, also in Oyo State, at the age of 48. He was a defender of no mean repute.
