Another good news came on Wednesday for the deposed Emir of Kano, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi ( Muhammadu Sanusi II) in the wake of his dethrownment by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State.
The latest comforting news is from Ekiti State University (EKSU) which says Sanusi remains it’s Chancellor his deposition.
This is coming in the heels of the appointment of the vocal former Emir as a member of the Kaduna State Investment Agency by the state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, a day after the deposition.
Next day after that appointment, Sanusi was also named Chancellor of the Kaduna State University by Governor El-rufai.
And from EKSU, it’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun, in a letter dated 12th March, 2020 told Sanusi that ” The Governing Council, Senate, Staff and Students of the university will continue to recognise you as the Chancellor of the university, with a view to projecting your representation, for a Nigeria to be a better place for us and the generations to come.”
Professor Olanipekun added that ” Even though you are dethroned, as the Emir of Kano, your constant open speeches against the many issues of multidimensional poverty, banditry, terrorism, early marriage, domestic violence and child abandonment make you stand tall, any day.”
