An average passenger airfare increased from N38,253.36 in December 2021 to N74,597.30 in December 2022, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has revealed.

NBS said in its study titled: “Fare Watch for December 2022,” that the airfare rose by 1.81% from in November 2022 to N73,267.57 to N74,597.30 in December 2022.
In the period under review, it said: “In air travels fare, the average fare paid by air passengers for specified routes single journey, increased by 1.81% on a month-on-month basis from N73,267.57 in November 2022 to N74,597.30 in December 2022.
“
On a year-on-year, the fare rose by 95.01% from N38,253.36 in December 2021.”/SHARE THIS
