The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone XI, AIG Leye Oyebade on Wednesday commissioned the upgraded a Police Divisional Headquarters located at Opete, in Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area of Oyo State.
At the ceremony, AIG Oyebade said “The upgrading of the police station is part of the IGP’s relentless commitment to bringing policing nearer to the people. It is the hallmark of his administration to promote community policing with particular emphasis on proactive and visibility policing. No doubt the newly upgraded police division will boost crime fighting in Opete and its environs.”
