Again, Boko Haram attacks Chibok, sets houses ablaze

Suspected members of dreaded Boko Haram terrorists on Thursday evening invaded Gatamwarwa Community in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno state, inflicting casualties and destruction without confrontation, sources have cried out.
This attack is coming barely 24 hours after armed group of insurgents invaded some parts of Miringa town, a neighboring community to Buratai, home base of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Tukur Yusuf Buratai, which led to destruction of health care facility, schools, residential building and the killing of two innocent civilians.
The Gatamwarwa attack according to reliable sources said “houses are currently being set ablaze by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in the ward, Chibok Local Government area of Borno State
“The insurgents came in around 5pm through Askira town, shooting sporadically leaving many villagers running for safety.
“They came in tens of motorcycles,and started shooting and setting houses ablaze.”
Gatamwarwa is about 19 kilometres away from Chibok town, which is predominately Christian and agrarian community that have suffered series of Boko Haram attacks and killings in the past.
