“The same article is now being attributed to former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, all in an effort to change history and deceive Nigerians and the world into believing that Jonathan was prevented from fighting the Boko Haram by Northern Governors in 2014 or so.”

Top of the falsehood in the doctored article Biodun said is that Northern Governors, during a trip to Washington, stopped then U.S President, Barack Obama from selling weapons to the Jonathan administration to fight Boko Haram. “Whereas it was clear to the world that Jonathan’s administration was blacklisted by the U.S due to large scale corruption in the military and presidency particularly in relation to arms procurement”

Continuing the cleric asked : was it the former Governor Shettima or the same Northern Governors that kept giving Jonathan’s National Security Adviser, Col.Sambo Dasuki presidential directives to share billions of dollars meant for arms to all manner of politicians ahead of the 2015 elections?

Was it also the northern Governors that asked then Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh to publicly admit during his retirement parade in Abuja, that he led apoorly equipped military (despite all the billions Jonathan’s govt claimed to have spent.?

Okupe the cleric said can try to launder Goodluck Jonathan’s image “but he should avoid dragging others into same pit as his principal” he added
