Nigerian Fuji legend King Wasiu Ayinde, widely known as Kwam1 or K1 de Ultimate, has suffered double bereavement, losing a wife and his mother within four days.
The first blow came on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, when he was thrown into mourning following the death of one of his wives, Alhaja Hafsat Anifowoshe, aged 65. She passed away in the early hours of the day after battling an undisclosed illness. And was buried later that day in accordance with Islamic traditions.
The tears of the music legend were yet to dry when his mother, Alhaja Halima Anifowoshe, died yesterday morning, Saturday, January 18, of age-related sickness.
The matriarch, aged 105, was laid to rest later in the day in accordance with Islamic injunctions.
Alhaji Ayinde has been receiving condolence messages from far and wide, including from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
