A House of Reps member representing Daura-Sandamu-Mai’Adua Federal Constituency and President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Hon Fatuhu Muhammad, has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) over undeclared reason.
Though he did not state the reasons for dumping the party, close sources said it might not be unconnected with two reasons: one, the party’s plummeting status around the states of the federation and two, the nose-diving status that made him lose the return ticket to the House in the recent primaries, as he believes if the party was still popular and he being the nephew of the president, there was no way he could have lost a ticket of the party his uncle is the leader.

His resignation which was dated July 13, 2022 but obtained yesterday, is addressed to the Sarkin Yara Ward APC chairman in Daura Local Government Area, and copied to APC Chairman, Daura Local Government and the State Party Chairman, in which Muhammad said his resignation is with immediate effect from July 13.
He said: “This is to notify you that I have resigned my membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC) with immediate effect commencing from Wednesday the 13th day of July,2022. Attached herewith is my Party Membership Registration slip with No KTDRA/10/00002.
“While I thank you and the Party for the opportunity given me to serve the interest of the people of Daura-Sandamu-Mai’Adua Federal Constituency while working with the party, accept my best wishes please.”
The State Online reports that Muhammad had lost the APC primary ticket with 30 votes to Aminu Jamo who polled 117 votes, after which he petitioned the party’s Appeal Committee, which turned it down, stating that “things have changed prior to 2019.”/SHARE THIS
