The National Moon Sighting Committee of Nigeria has said the moon of the month of Shawwal signifying the end on the Ramadan fast was not sighted on Friday night.
The committee stated this in a tweet, saying Saturday would therefore be the 30th day of Ramadan.

That in effect meant that Eid-el Fitr would come up on Sunday.
