
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos on Saturday received students of Ansar-ud-Deen Grammar School Surulere, creators of a Water Purifier that won the 2019 Nigerian Stockholm Junior Water Prize.
He told the elated students that STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering and Mathematics ) education is very important and that his administration will ensure that students at all levels in Lagos are exposed to it.
Three public and two private secondary schools represented Lagos State at the Stockholm Junior Water Prize Competition.
Ansar-Ud-Deen Grammar School clinched the first position with the Water Purifier project while Abibat Mogaji Millennium Senior Secondary School in Agege and Mary Grace College in Abule Egba took second and third positions respectively.
