A special meeting was held in Ibadan, Oyo State capital on Saturday, Jan 5 between the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and leading Muslim clerics from the defunct Western Region.
The parley which took place under the aegies of League of Imams and Alfas in Yorubaland and Edo, Delta states, according to sources was held at the Bodija, Ibadan Secretariat of the Muslim group.
Although details of the meeting were not made public but it was learnt that discussions centred around peaceful co-existence in area under the jurisdiction of the Clerics, avoiding hate speeches and prayers for succesful of 2019 general elections.
