Aisha Halilu Muhammadu Buhari, wife of Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari, has marked her 52nd birthday with pomp and pageantry.
Born on 17 February, 1971 in Adamawa State, north eastern Nigeria, her father was a civil engineer, and her mother a descendant of the Ankali family, renowned farmers.
She married President Muhammadu Buhari on 2 December, 1989 and had five children together and one grandchild.
Aisha didn’t celebrate her birthday rolling out drums, perhaps due to the current situation in the country bordering on Naira scarcity.
However, Nigerians celebrated her on social media, including President Buhari’s media aide, Bashir Ahmad, who posted on his Twitter page “Happy birthday to our First Lady, Her Excellency (Dr) Aisha Muhammadu Buhari.”/SHARE THIS
