Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State on Tuesday paid a visit to the Ogun State Judiciary Complex under construction along the Kobape-Siun Road, Abeokuta to access the progress of work at the site.

The visit was in preparation for a Judiciary Conference billed to be hosted at the venue in September.

The governor was however visibly displeased with the design and  quality of work on the project which commenced during the immediate past administration of former governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Governor Abiodun who was accompanied on the visit by the Deputy Governor, Engr. (Mrs) Noimot Salako-Oyedele,  the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi; the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Mosunmola Dipeolu; Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salisu; the Special Adviser on Housing Development, Jagunmolu Akande; Special Adviser on Government House, Hon Babatunde Olaotan; and other government functionaries said the complex, to  say the least, was disappointingly built using a design that looked like one from the sixties.

Noting the quality of the finishing was also poorly, he observed for instance, that rain water got stuck at a certain place in a manner that wouldn’t allow staff work effectively.

To correct this while ensuring that the complex gets ready for the conference slated to be held in September, the Governor said he will sit with contractors in charge of the project and point out these flaws he noticed.
