It was a scene akin to a best seller horror movie in Imo State, Wednesday when dare devil hoodlums beheaded two persons in the Orsu Local Government Area of the state.
The hoodlums also set the country home of the lawmaker representing the area at the state House of Assembly, Ekene Nnodimele, after beheading his gate man.
Not done yet, the gunmen also beheaded an All Progressives Congress chieftain in the area, Jonathan Ugochukwu.
According to villagers, the multiple attacks took place between 1am and 2am, when right thinking residents must have gone to bed.
A visit to the area, Wednesday morning, also showed that the country home of the immediate-past Attorney General of the state and Commissioner for Justice, Cyprian Akaolisa, was also burnt, with a team of policemen inspecting Akaolisa’s country home, at Awo Idemili.
Also, the house and vehicle of the councilor representing Amaebu Ebenatu ward, Clifford Mazi, were burnt down by the hoodlums who were livid they did not meet him at home.
The marauding hoodlums also burnt the house of the President General of Amaebu Ebenatu, Oliver Ejelonu, who managed to escape.
Narrating how the incident happened at her home stead, wife of one of the victims, Nkechi Ugochukwu, said the hoodlums invaded their house, carried her husband out, beheaded him and set the house ablaze.
When contacted, the immediate-past Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Cyprian Akaolisa,said he had reported the arson to the police, with the state Commissioner of Police, Abutu Yaro, saying his men have already started spreading their dragnets with a view to tracking down the fleeing dare devils./SHARE THIS
