It is now clear that Nigerian security operatives are not just after members of the Nnamdi Kanu-led Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), but after any group going by the name Biafra, as they have invaded the camp of Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MOSSOB), in Benue, and arrested one of its ardent operatives.

This is coming on the heels of the deadline for the May 30 sit-at- home order by different Igbo separatist groups that is just 48 hours away.

The raid on Thursday, May 27, saw the security operatives invading the home of one Uchenna Okeke, an ardent MASSOB operative, and whisking him away to an unknown destination.

Revealing this in a statement, Thursday, Mr George Onyibe, Director, Biafra Human Rights Advocates, a finger of the newly formed Biafra Defacto Customary Government, described the arrest as illegal, saying “Mr Okeke is not a member of IPOB they are fighting with, but a member of  non-violent pro-Biafra family (BIM-MASSOB) led by Chief Ralph Uwazuruike,”  calling for his immediate and unconditional release./ SHARE THIS
