In line with the promise made by the Oke-Ona Grammar School, Opeji Road, Abeokuta Class 1981 SET, to ensure that her Alma Mata continue to receive the patronage of members of the SET in developmental projects, some Sporting Facilities will be presented to the School on Friday, December 13, 2019 beginning from 10:00am prompt. Venue is School Hall.
The presentation ceremony will also feature Award of Excellence to some outstanding students of the school who excelled in the last year’s West African School Certificate Examination; Career Talks by three members of the SET ’81 – Engineer Dr. Segun Ikugbonmire, Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Governor of Ogun State, HE Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, and Chartered Accountant Femi Sowemimo.
Also, Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, Chief of Staff CoS to the Governor of Ogun State , HE Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, will be honoured with OUTSTANDING ALUMNI MERIT AWARD for his contribution to the development of Information Technology System in Nigeria, his Alma Mata -Oke-Ona Grammar School, Abeokuta, and politics / Governance in Ogun State in particular.
Mrs Ronke Soyombo, Special Adviser on Education (Basic, Technical and Vocational), among other dignitaries, is expected to be the Special Guest of at the event.
