Nollywood superstar, Tonto Dike has responded to those telling her that her dressing does not conform with Christian standards.
She said she would not turn to “a boring life” to please them and said she is “ a demon chasing born again Christian” if they must know.
Writing on Instagram #tontolet, she stated: “It’s just sad that a lot of Christians expect me to live a boring life. The truth is that I wasn’t born or cut out for boring. God gave me a very vibrant and interesting personality and I’m going to stay that way. There are so many ways to draw people to Christ and the true message but unfortunately many Christians think they have to live a boring or unkept life in order to achieve this.
“Well you don’t. Please lets get active and spread the message in innovative ways.
“ We exist here on Earth despite the fact we hail from ZION, so let Us use what we have here on earth to show them the message and love of Christ.
“I remain a tongue speaking, Demon chasing born again Christian. I AM.
“Love you all.”
Her write-up has been generating comments from her Instagram followers.
#xencybabe commented thus: “ U eve get time to explain to them. If God was a man, ehn hmmmm ihe ga eme”, to which Tonto Dike responded: @xencybabe Yes oo I have to explain, I don’t want to lose a soul out of their ignorance.”
There were other comments in her favour, but #adaugo1m and a host of others held contrary views.
She wrote: “ U don’t win souls by being half naked, look at what you are wearing in public, my sister u are beautifully made, exposing ur body will never win souls for Christ, u can wear trouser, knee gown, and other and still be gud, do not let all these fake preachers get u.”
