He said before CAPS was introduced, “syndicates and their cohorts create false websites on which they paste fake list of admissions which they claimed emanated from the universities or JAMB when in actual fact such names are not on the list submitted by respective senate bodies.”

Comrade Ugwoke, according to the JAMB latest weekly bulletin made available to The State Online on Sunday by JAMB Head of Media, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said this was no longer the case with the introduction of CAPS.

According to him, “With the recent implementation of CAPS by JAMB, the activities of these fraudsters and miscreants have been checkmated. As such, illegal activities perpetrated by these criminals are now a thing of the past.”

On his assessment of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination conducted by JAMB, he said “JAMB has been doing well, there is no doubt about that. I urge JAMB to maintain the standard.”
