President Muhammadu Buhari has assured equity and just in the provision of infrastructural development among the six geopolitical zones of the country, pledged no any part of the country will witness neglect.
Speaking through his representative, Lt. General Abdulrahman Bello Danbazau (rtd) on the commissioning of Erosion and Flood Control and Road Improvement works at Federal University Dutse further stated federal government is committed to the provision of viable infrastructural development based on particular need of Nigerians.
“We intend to enact at least one viable development projects in almost all the six geopolitical zones so as to arrest the issue of denial of social infrastructure as viewed in some quarters by Nigerians.
On the commissioned roads project, General Danbazau charged the university community to ensure its care and sustainability, warning never allow the much invested resources on these projects to go waste.
Earlier in her speech on the occasion, The Varsity Vice Chancellor, Professor Fatima Batul Mukhtar, commended the federal government over the gesture, stressing ” I must commend the quality of work done by the contractor and timely completion which is further a great testimony of the current administration’s penchant for quality”
The N1.4billion Federal University, Dutse Erosion/flood Control and improvement of the Varsity’s access road network was initiated through a request for urgent intervention forwarded to the Ecological Fund Office by the FUD VC in order to arrest the continuous erosion and flood menace in the university. The projects that attracted accelerated approval and implemented within six months duration were awarded to Integrated Advanced Quest Engineering Limited.
