I will redouble my efforts for a better Nigeria, Oloyede pledges

Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Professor Is-Haq Oloyede has pledged to redouble his efforts at ensuring higher productivity for a better Nigeria.

He made the promise in Abuja when he was honoured with the National Productivity Order of Merit Award (NPOM) alongside some other prominent Nigerians, including business mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman of UBA and philanthropist, Mr Tony Elumelu and the Chairman of Channels Media, Mr John Momoh.

The prestigious award was conferred on Oloyede and the others on Thursday, November 28, at the 18th Edition of NPOM Investiture Ceremony by President Muhammadu Buhari, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha.

JAMBulletin, in its latest edition made available to The State Online by JAMB Spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin , quoted Oloyede on receiving the award  as saying that “ I would redouble my effort to ensure high productivity for a better Nigeria.”

Speaking at the occasion, the president while commending the awardees, charged them not to relent in their efforts in serving the nation and humanity.

He reiterated the Federal Government’s efforts to consolidate on the successes recorded by his administration in the last four years with a view to making the country great again.

In his speech, the Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Ngige said the annual award was bestowed on individuals and organizations who stood out in terms of creativity, innovation, high performance, efficiency, discipline and patriotism.

For 18th Edition, he noted that “ 25 individuals and seven organisations that have proved themselves worthy of this  year’s National Productivity Order of Merit Award were selected.”

The JAMB Registrar, a former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, is a recipient of many other national and international awards , including the Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (OFR).

Oloyede is also a of the National Academy of Letters (FNAL), the Academy of Entrepreneurship , the Nigerian Institute of Management, Islamic Academy of Cambridge, United Kingdom , among others.

He was the Co-Secretary of the National Political Reform Conference in 2005 and member of the 2014 National Political Conference.
