Former Inspector General of Police to float private ICT institute in Jigawa

Former Inspector-General of Police, Suleiman Abba Gwaram, has pledged to set up a private multi million naira Independent Information Technology Centre in Dutse as part of his contributions towards boosting science education to better the future of our younger generations.
Speaking in his capacity as Chairman of the conference of Dutse Development Association, he stated the centre if established will encompasses all relevant knowledge and skills needed for our technological needs for us to conform with the present time challenges.
“Our purpose was to ginger our teeming youths with science bias discipline as future career to develop their talents, in furtherance to their educational knowledge amongst their areas of core study for them to be fully digitalized in comparison to global world”
He explained that the expected N110million ICT Centre will serve as a catalyst of source of scientific knowledge which will afford our students the concepts to be ICT literate in different discipline of their choice.
Gwaram who out of his volition spent N35m last year in form of sponsorship expenses on 30 pupils to Hi- tech IT Technology Education in India pledged to do more towards the establishment of a modern ICT centre where it was expected that the first one hundred intake of the centre will enjoy his set aside N110m special scholarship package.
On Dutse forum, the former police boss enjoined members to imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship, tolerance to one another, commitment, and foster unity amongst members, and the union, for the collective interest of all and sundry.
“We can only prosper in our level of commitments to service if humanity, foster common unity among ourselves, our emirate, state and the country at- large,” he said.
He commended members for impressive attendance, and offer if useful celebrations, remarks, and comments, assured the full implementations of useful resolutions adopted during the confab.
The Dutse Development Association was established purposely for the advancement of Dutse Emirate among the five emirates in Jigawa State. Membership of the forum comprises retired and serving civil servants, business men, and politicians of different political parties, among other members.
