Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) in its bid to improve the quality of its service and cement its position as a leader in innovation and service delivery in the power sector, is set to send another batch of its lineworkers to India for training. This was made known to journalists in a statement signed by the company’s General Manager, Corporate Communications, Godwin Idemudia. Idemudia said the training is an exchange program that allows the beneficiaries to get hands-on training with the latest technologies and the global leaders in the electricity supply industry. The training is aimed at improving the quality of supply, incorporate the use of the latest modern technologies, improve the turn-around time in fault detection and clearing for increased customer satisfaction. The training which is in conjunction with EKEDC’s technical partners TATA Group, a leader and major player in the global electricity space. “The training is also part of our reward system which recognizes outstanding performances from our men on the field that go out there to detect and fix faults in record time. It recognizes the dedication and hard work. The training affords the line-workers opportunity to learn the best global practices in our sector and get to use this knowledge to improve our services. It doesn’t stop there as all our staff have been scheduled for training to help improve us all-round” Idemudia said. Recall that the electricity distribution company sent a batch of its line-workers to India for training in the second quarter of 2019.
